Antonio Conte warns everyone that Chelsea could suffer again

Antonio Conte made a name for himself as a top manager after successively winning 3 Serie A titles with Juventus and these achievements played a huge role in allowing Conte getting recognized as someone who can win significant titles and be in charge of big squads.

After Conte’s time with Juventus was over, he opted to become the new manager of the Italian national football team as he replaced Cesare Prandelli who had resigned from his managerial position in the national side.

During Conte’s charge in the Italian side, he managed to lead Italy to the top of their group which was the first time that they had managed to do it in a major tournament since the 2006 World Cup and Italy was eventually knocked out in the quarter-finals after losing against Germany in a penalty session.

The latest managerial position of Antonio Conte is with the Premier League side Chelsea and the experienced tactician is the man that was selected to rescue the English outfit from their previous disappointing season where they finished at the 10th spot of the English League.

Conte is regarded as a top class manager and this is why he was the man chosen to bring back the glory days of Chelsea but the Italian coach himself has stated that the task of winning the Premier League title or even snatching a European position will be a difficult one and that there is a big risk of seeing them underperform once again unless the necessary changes and steps are properly taken.

Cesc Fabregas prefer to see Leicester win the title than Tottenham Hotspurs

Cesc Fabregas has stated that he would want to see Leicester City win the league rather than their London rivals, Tottenham Hotspurs.

This could add further spark to the next game which sees Tottenham visit Chelsea on Monday.

But some pundits believe that this comment has added pressure on Chelsea to beat Tottenham. But with Leicester City visiting Manchester United on Sunday, there is the possibility that Leicester would have already been crowned as champions.

If not, then Chelsea will have a major say in the destination of the Premier League title as they still have to play against Leicester City in the final game of the season.

Eden Hazard has also stated that he want Leicester City to win the title and has vowed to have a good game to help beat their London rivals.

Chelsea, who is currently the defending champions, have had a poor campaign this season and is currently 9th in the league. Their poor start to the season has even caused their manager Jose Mourinho to be sacked and replaced with GuusHiddink. Read More

Fabregas: ‘’It was the players who let Mourinho down’’

Back in December of 2015, Jose Mourinho was sacked from his managerial position in Chelsea and this was due to the string of negative results that the Premier League club sustained under the tutelage of the Portuguese coach.

Jose Mourinho was heavily critiqued in this period of time with the media insulting the playing style, formations and decisions that the veteran manager was doing in his last year in charge of Chelsea.

However, Cesc Fabregas has recently come out and stated that it was the performers of the Premier League club which had to be blamed for the string of underwhelming and Jose Mourinho did not deserve all the criticism that he received.

“I can reiterate that I had an exceptionally good relationship with Jose Mourinho as I will aim to have with any coach that I play for. The football club is more important than any one player. We have all let the manager and club down this year as a collective unit. We will get this right of that I am sure. With all your help we can put this period behind us and make Chelsea great again’’ The Spanish midfielder Cesc Fabregas wrote on his instagram account after Mourinho was offloaded from Stamford Bridge. Cesc Fabregas was once regarded as a legend around North London

Cesc Fabregas was once regarded as a legend around North London – especially around the Emirates stadium. He had spent eight years at Arsenal before moving to his home club Barcelona. However, he has become enemy number one all of the sudden after making the move to Chelsea, who are one of the big rivals for Arsenal apart from Tottenham.

This combined with Fabregas winning the league title in his first season at Chelsea – after having failed to do the same in eight years at Arsenal – has made him viewed as one of the opposition. The midfielder, though, says that he still has the same love for Arsenal that he developed while playing more than 300 games for the club.

The 28-year-old will be coming up against his former club once again. He has already been against Arsenal twice last season. On both occasions, Chelsea came out in front. His role in the home match against the gunners was especially impressive, as he provided the assist for Diego Costa to score one of his 20 league goals. Fabregas is set to face more abuse from his former supporters when Chelsea take on Arsenal in the Community Shield on Sunday. This match is the traditional curtain raiser for the Premier League campaign. Read More

Vicente del Bosque came up with a highly experimental line-up

As promised, Spain manager Vicente del Bosque came up with a highly experimental line-up for the recent game against Costa Rica.

The team had suffered a 2-0 defeat against Netherlands in the previous game back in April. This shock score was yet another setback for the national team and it has been continuing since the World Cup 2014. Del Bosque has been urged by the Spain fans in order to try new players for the national team. The ageing names like Andres Iniesta and Iker Casillas could depart from the national team once and for all.

However, this will give a great opportunity for the likes of Cesc Fabregas to finally establish themselves on the international stage. The Chelsea midfielder is a crucial player for the national team but he has never got the attention as the likes of Iniesta. Part of the problem has been Fabregas’ positioning on the field. The 28-year-old has been shifted across numerous positions in order to accommodate the players. This one second was the case in the recent game against Costa Rica, but Fabregas made his mark felt by scoring an excellent goal. This was the Spain midfielder’s 14th goal in 97 appearances. He will join the growing band of Spain stars to have made more than 100 appearances. Read More

Cesc Fabregas has managed to score 3 goals

In 28 Premier League appearances CescFabregas has managed to score 3 goals and provide 16 assists which is a higher amount of assists than in any other seasons that the Spanish midfielder has managed to provide for any of his clubs.

During these last few months and weeks that are remaining in the Premier League, the influence that Fabregas has made for Chelsea has started to fade away but he is still considered to be one of the best players in this season.

Back when Fabregas used to perform for Barcelona, he was given the role of No.10 but now with Chelsea things have changed as Jose Mourinho puts the Spanish midfielder further behind in the pitch and this is one of the reasons on why Fabregas believes that he has been performing so much better and Chelsea have improved a lot more as well.

The 27 year old midfielder said: “Where I am playing right now is the position I like the most because I feel I can dictate the play and I feel in control. At Barcelona, I was playing as a false nine, as a No.10, everything except what I felt was my best position, but I was feeling comfortable because we had a great team and great players, so it was going well.” Read More
