ARSENAL: FABREGAS GIVES VERDICT ON JESUS

Spanish midfielder Cesc Fabregas has given his verdict on Gabriel Jesus who joined Arsenal from fellow Premier League side Manchester City earlier this month. Fabregas talked about Jesus in an interview with London World as he doubted if the Brazilian attacker is the right fit for the Gunners attack.Cesc Fabregas is not confident if the signing of the Brazil international would work well for the Arsenal attack. According to him, he was expecting the club to sign a different type of striker. The Spaniard said Arsenal should have signed a striker who attack the spacemore.


The signing of Gabriel Jesus at Arsenal was influenced by manager Mikel Arteta and technical director Edu. Other teams were keen on signing Jesus this summer, but he opted for Arsenal having worked with Arteta while he was the assistant manager at Premier League holders Manchester City. The Brazilian connection involving Edu also came in handy during negotiations with Jesus and his representatives. Cesc Fabregas remains optimistic despite being dropped

CescFabregas arrived to Chelsea on June of 2014 for a price tag of €33 million and ever since his first season with the Premier League club, the Spanish midfielder has undoubtedly been a regular starter.


For the very first time since arriving to Stamford Bridge, Fabregas is beginning to look more like a substitute player than an actual performer on the pitch as Antonio Conte has consistently been dropping CescFabregas to the sidelines and most of the playing time that Fabregas actually does manage to get, it’s from the bench as an impact substitute player.

This is something that is rare to see, especially for a highly-rated player such as CescFabregas. The Spanish midfielder is regularly being praised for his contributions not only in Chelsea but also with his former clubs.

 

Even though Fabregas is being more restricted in terms of his playing time in the actual pitch, he has still managed to make an impact as he has provided his teammates with 7 assists and scored 3 goals.

Out of the 28 Premier League matches that Chelsea has played, Fabregas has managed to make 19 appearances and 12 of those arrived from the bench but nonetheless, his impact and contributions have still been felt. Read More

Spanish midfielder Cesc Fabregas is set to remain at Chelsea after Coach Antonio Conte praised his contribution to the team of recent.


The player was largely rumoured to be set to leave Stamford Bridge particularly as he was rarely played by the manager and a switch in formation made the team ‘invincible,’ leaving little room for the creative former Gunner.

However the fate of the player has quickly changed, seeing as he has been instrumental to the team of late. Conte hailed the player at a press conference, saying:

“Cesc, we all know him, and I’m very pleased with his attitude, his commitment and for his work-rate in training sessions. Also, when I call him during the game, it’s important for me to see the right spirit,” the Italian boss said.

Fabregas has gone from being an extremely influential player with Chelsea during his debut season with the Premier League club back on August of 2014 where he managed to make 34 appearances.


In the following season, the Spanish midfielder made 37 appearances but ever since Antonio Conte arrived to the Premier League club, things have taken a turn for the worse as Fabregas has barely had any kind of impact in Chelsea in the current season.

The 29 year old midfielder is struggling to get playing time and there are rumors being spread that are linking Fabregas with a move to the Italian side Ac.Milan.

It’s even rumored that Fabregas has already held talks with the chiefs of Ac.Milan as negotiations are believed to have been taking place for the past few days but nothing has been officially confirmed.

Vincenzo Montella has recently stated that signing CescFabregas is not in his plans as the midfielder just would not fit with the system that he has envisioned for his players to utilize but despite Montella coming out and actually saying that Fabregas is not one of his targets this has not stopped reports and more rumors from emerging as each day that passes by there are a larger amount of websites which say that a move is edging closer. Chelsea play maker Cesc Fabregas might see his time at Stamford Bridge come to an end as he is poised to leave the side when the next transfer window presents itself.


Express Sport reports that the club has made a decision to dump the former Arsenal and Barcelona player in January.

Fabregas has struggled to get first team action since coach Antonio Conte took over at Chelsea. With options like former Leicester City player N’Golo Kante, Nemanja Matic and Brazil international Oscar, the Spaniard’s chance are just limited. The 29-year old has insisted that he is willing to fight for a starting role at the club, rather than leave to get regular action elsewhere.

The news report say Chelsea are willing to listen to offers for the playmaker, but they are unlikely to push him out to any other Premier League club. There were a lot of interests in the Spain international during the summer. AC Milan were keen on adding him to their ranks but it didn’t eventually happen. Cesc Fabregas has lost his place in a Chelsea first-team upon the arrival of Antonio Conte and this has been a major surprise given the quality of the Spanish playmaker.


He has performed exceptionally well – apart from a couple of poor periods – in his two years at the club. Hence, it was surprising to see him on the bench even from pre-season. It has been speculated that Fabregas has been looking towards a return to Spanish football with his place at Chelsea being unsure. After being on the substitutes bench for the opening game, Fabregas was not called upon even when the blues were chasing the game.

However, he has made a huge difference by coming on to help the team win in the 2-1 victory over Watford while going on to star in the 3-2 win over Bristol Rovers in the EFL Cup. Now, it appears that there may be a chance for Fabregas to return to the first-team after manager Conte praised his attitude despite being on the bench for key matches. It was evident that Fabregas still have some attachment to the club that formed him and made him a star player. Indeed, he made 303 appearances for the London team and managed to score 57 goals for them. He was also the club’s captain from 2009 to 2011 and was a fans favorite.
